At the Energy & Sustainability Forum 2022, senior industry experts from companies such as Alfa Laval, BASF, Neste, and ExxonMobil as well as representatives of the European Commission presented innovative developments around defossilising the downstream industry, and in particular the switch to climate-friendly energy carriers, in four sessions over two days. The program of the event also included a keynote presentation from Christian Küchen, Director General of en2x, several panel discussions, and Q&A and networking sessions.
The Global Alliance Powerfuels was an official partner of the event. Kristina Haverkamp, Managing Director of the German Energy Agency (dena), spoke at the conference on Wednesday, March 23, in the session on hydrogen, discussing the potential development of powerfuels production capacities within the EU as well as measures to facilitate hydrogen imports and requirements to ensure the sustainability of renewable hydrogen and its derivatives.
