At the “Fuels of the Future” conference 2022, experts from science, politics and the transport sector presented innovative developments around defossilising the transport sector, and in particular the switch to climate-friendly energy carriers, in 15 digital sessions over five days. The program of the event also included input presentations, panel discussions, and Q&A sessions.
In total, participants had access to 60 presentations on topics such as the EU’s "Fit for 55" package and the contribution of renewable fuels in achieving European climate protection targets, international trade of alternative fuels, and pathways to scaling up powerfuels from air and water. The content of the entire event was be available in both German and English.
Two experts from the Global Alliance Powerfuels’ project team, Friederike Altgelt and Hannes Salomon, spoke at the conference on Tuesday, January 25, in the session on green hydrogen, giving a presentation on the expected development of powerfuels supply and demand in transport in Germany until 2030.
